| The Glimmerglass Festival is proud to announce programming for the 2025 season, “The Art of Making Art”, running from July 11 through August 17th. The Festival invites you to celebrate it’s 50th anniversary. The 2025 Glimmerglass Festival’s mainstage productions will include Puccini’s Tosca, Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George, Stravinky’s The Rake’s Progress and the world premiere of The House on Mango Street with music by Derek Bermel and libretto by Sandra Cisneros. The company will also feature the mainstage debut of Odyssey, the company’s first youth opera commission The season puts artists front and center, with artists as leading characters in many of the stories appearing on the Alice Busch Opera House Theater stage. The pieces also reflect the career high points, breakout moments, Stylistic pivots, and new horizons of each of its creators- these are part of the life of an artist and the life of an arts institution.
