Sugarland to play Doubleday Field!


Saturday, September 4th, 8:00pm at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown - Sugarland with special guests Little Big Town and Ellis Paul. Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 13 at 10am at Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce Offices.  Tickets are $64 each for general admission seating and are also available by phone at 607-547-5212 or online through www.cooperstownchamber.orgA 2 night minimum stay is required at the Rose and Thistle

GLIMMERGLASS OPERA ANNOUNCES 2010 FESTIVAL ARTISTS

Glimmerglass Opera’s 2010 Festival will feature new productions of Puccini’s Tosca, Copland’s The Tender Land, Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and the U.S. professional stage premiere of Handel’s Tolomeo. The productions will run in rotation in the Alice Busch Opera Theater in Cooperstown from July 9 through August 24, 2010. For more information on Glimmerglass Opera, visit www.glimmerglass.org. The Alice Busch Opera Theater, home of Glimmerglass Opera, is located on Route 80, eight miles north of Cooperstown, New York.


Harvest Festival at the Farmer's Museum--September 18th and 19th

Cooperstown Rotary Club Applefest at The Fly Creek Cider Mill-- September 18th and 19th- The Mill’s most popular festival featuring Music, Antique Tractors, Apples and Family Fun hosted by the Cooperstown Rotary Club and sponsored by regional businesses.  The festival welcomes apple lovers, antique and classic tractor enthusiasts, and families to the Fly Creek Cider Mill to enjoy live music, sponsors' exhibits, a tractor show and children’s games. Sponsorship opportunities are available through Rotary at 607-547-4149 Hours are 10 am to 5 pm Saturday and 12 to 5 pm Sunday, donation fee, free parking.

Pumpkin Fest 2010--September 25th and 26th- Giant Pumpkin weigh-off and vendor fair at Doubleday Field on Saturday, from 10am-3pm.  Pumpkin Regatta and entertainment, children's activities at Lake Front Park on Sunday, 10am-1pm. Additional details to be posted when known!
